The new Super Carry Ultra+ has a FULL rounded grip just like it's bigger brothers.
Kimber’s constant harassment of giving us new 1911 hand cannons to drool over continues with a bit of a teaser trailer type add found on the back of this month’s American Rifleman (from the NRA) magazine. There is little information floating around on the web touting an improvement to the rounded grip of last year’s Super Carry Ultra by calling it the new Super Carry Ultra+, meaning rather than a rounded edge, it’s now a fully rounded grip, which is now the ONLY subcompact 45 ACP with a full rounded grip.
Not only have they added this FOURTH member to the Super Carry line, they’ve also introduced a FULL stainless steel framed model dubbed the “HD” which also comes in their typical release of 3 models: The Full Size, the Officer’s Size (4″), and the SubCompact (The Ultra). I.E. They will be called the Super Carry HD, the Super Carry Pro HD, and the Super Carry ULTRA HD, now totaling the Super Carry line up to SEVEN models!
Good luck trying to find loads of info online. Kimber has yet to release the info on KimberAmerica.com and most of what is yielded from a
Google search comes up speculation with very few images and real info. Guess we’ll have to wait till they deem a full release is necessary. When it does hit the shelves, expect a full writeup and eye candy video review from H.o.G.
Kimber has given us little more to go on than their teaser magazine ads featured on the rear cover of most major gun publications.

Chris, I too found this to be a drool inducing article. I believe that you should be among the first to buy this for Nicole as she seems to get the short end of the stick(don’t read into this) when it comes to guns in your house. I read about you buying all these different guns and never hear of her purchases. I’m just sayin’

The Super Carry Ultra Plus has a full size grip instead of the shorter one, like on the Ultra. Makes the grip a half inch longer is the only difference, therefore it gets the more extreme curved grip. Also, you can use an 8 round mag instead of the 7 round used the the standard Ultra’s. That is the only differences that I have found.
