Shooting the Springfield M1903 A3 .30-06
Gun Review – Shooting the Springfield M1903 A3 .30-06

We experienced very low recoil shooting 168 Grain Sierra Match Kings which is bigger than the original 150 Grain FMJ shot through the first 1903s.
What do you get when you take a 70 year old battle rifle, add Lyman target front and rear peep sights, glass bed the stock and accurize the action? A TACK DRIVER!!! Dad started a collection of World War battle rifles just a little over 2 years ago and has had a blast shooting them ever since. You can check out our previous video with the British Enfield No. 4 Mk 1.
Seriously, check out this video shooting it with my Dad of http://www.TC4.me (soon to be Haus of Arms). We’re shooting hand loads through a bolt gun that was carried through 2 world wars and even by some snipers (the A4 version) up to the Korean war. The accuracy from this 110 year old design and 70 year old (1942) rifle with open sights is uncanny. I’ve bragged about outshooting him my whole life, but not in this case. My old man can shoot!
