I’ll have a full post up tonight with the Heizer Defense DoubleTap designer, Ray Kohout. But for now I wanted to give you a quick look at this little carry pistol which comes in both .45 ACP and 9mm.
The DoubleTap will start at $500 for the aluminum frame and be just over $700 for the titanium ported model. For those who thing this gun is “just another derringer” I’d encourage you to look closer. This was designed entirely out of the box by aerospace engineers hoping to revolutionize the firearms world.

Hmmm… Double tap ammunition holds a trademark on the name and they are in the same industry. I sense a problem arising in the future.
Best part about this gun is that it is made in the USA. Worst part, price point.
Ground up innovation, Phil. Aluminum model is $499. Same price as a Bond Arms double barrel and this one is engineered by aerospace geniuses. Will have one in hand the next couple months or so for a full review.
