Caracal CC10 Carbine – SHOT Show 2013
The Caracal C 9mm handgun was one of my biggest surprises for range day. It felt great in the hand, was accurate and the quick acquisition sights (Quick Sights from here on) were intuitive and just that… fast.
This year’s SHOT Show 2013 has seen Caracal release another new product in their CC10 carbine. While I wasn’t able to shoot it during range day because of time constraints, I did get to play with it for a little bit while J.J. “Razor” Racaza watched from afar. Okay he didn’t watch, but he was there.
Here is the description from Caracal’s 2013 catalog:
The CC10 is a modern semi-auto 9 x 19mm carbine aimed at the sporting, personal defense and law enforcement markets. It includes most modern technologies to provide highest reliability, precision and safety.
The Caracal CC10 LB (long barrel version) is aiming to the civil consumer market as it is ideal for sports target shooting.
The CC10 includes most modern technologies to provide highest reliability, precision and safety. Some of the CC10 features are a short travel trigger, magazines with 10, 15 and 18 round capacity (magazines are interchangeable with the Caracal pistol family), ambidextrous magazine release, quick barrel exchange and full tactical rails.
It’s a simple design in nature, with a side charging bolt and mag well that accepts all 9mm pistol magazines. Nice touch. The CC10 carbine is lightweight and has a natural point to it, with mag release and bolt manipulation being intuitive and simple. This little 9mm carbine would likely be just at home plinking on the range as it would be in your home when something goes bump in the night. Pics below.

Looks like a nice little carbine, and I *love* any carbine/pistol system that shares magazines. If they keep the price <500$, I'd say they have a winner.
I'm fully invested in a CX4 9mm/92fs system, so I'm not 'that guy', but I'd otherwise be interested.
OOOOH! That’s a foxy carbine. with the pistol, one would be well-accoutered for home and self defence.
Yeah, if this thing could accept a glock 17/19 magazine that would rock! It still looks very nice, might be a possibility for me someday.
That would make it an instand re-stock item. Meaning stores wouldn’t be able to keep them in stock. Would replace demand over the Kel-Tec Sub2000 collapsible carbines. Working on getting both a carbine and a Caracal C 9mm for review.
Phillip, I suspect it’ll be banned before it ever reaches your LGS.
Here’s a quick video we did on it at SHOT.

Thanks for sharing, Kevin. Typically I would classify an unsolicited blog comment that does nothing more than refer readers away from my site to your own work as blog SPAM. Since this is your first time commenting I’ve approved it and will let it slide.
Genuinely sorry Ebbs – thought you’d be interested. Probably should’ve just emailed the link to you.
Won’t happen again…
Thanks,
Kevin
No worries brother. That’s why I didn’t come at your hard. Email inbound.
no muslim guns !
The global financial crisis following 9/11 during Bush in which the failure of the American financial system was bet upon (attacked), in sight, and resulted in the first ever bailout….. with 100s of billion$ of middle eastern wealth fund assets, originated from 2 sharia compliant middle eastern owned funds:
1. located in the U.A.E. (dubai)
2. located in the UK (owned by hodgepodge of middle eastern countries such as saudi, iran, etc.).
These are not our friends, do not buy.
you have no clue what you are talking about. im with the US Military. i have not seen a more reliable ally than the UAE in that region or world frankly. they had troops helping us in afghanistan and also sent planes to Libya when we couldnt get NATO to send anything (including our own planes). they have the most advanced F16′s in the world (Block 60) and most of their foreign weapon procurement comes from us. i personally own 2 of their pistols and find them extremely top quality. as far as your comments about them not being our friends i would urge you to look up some of the humanitarian relief they have dedicated to us (Katrina, Joplin, Children’s Hospital in DC, MD Anderson, John Hopkins, Mayo Clinic) most donations are over 100 Million USD. educate yourself before saying things that make you sound stupid.
