Rock Island Armory/Armscor introduced a plethora of new guns at Range Day for SHOT Show 2013. The one that really jumped at the Haus of Guns crew was the new 1911/2011 pistol in a 10mm Auto configuration. It takes an 8 round single stack magazine (sorry New York) and is mucho tricked to the max with positive traction all over the place and as the name says, is capped with VZ grip panels.

With full power 10mm FMJ ammo the 2011 Rock Island Armory 10mm Tactical VZ (too long I know) reports with minimal muzzle flip and is extremely controllable thanks to the velcro-like feel all over the exterior of this pistol. The skeletonized trigger is fantastic and all functions perform with smooth response and tight construction.

I sure wish I could have run an entire box through the gun, because after just 10 rounds I found myself wanting more and more. But it should handle well… It weighs about 2.5 pounds!

So are you looking for a shop that carries RIA or are you a retail person looking for a distributor?
